Richard Viguerie (b.1933) is a direct mail businessman and author of several books, including The New Right: We're Ready to Lead (1981). He has raised many millions through direct mail solicitations for organizations, since 1965.

Viguerie founded the Conservative Digest in 1975. He opposed the reelection of Gerald Ford in 1976, when he sought the presidential nomination of the American Independent Party, founded earlier by George Wallace.

In 1961 he served as an executive secretary for Young Americans for Freedom.
