Do not be afraid to fail. Grit is a key to outstanding achievements. The mustard seeds of failures teach valuable lessons and great successes are born from them.

And remember...

"Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you." - Jesus

"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified." - The Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. And others fell on the good soil and *yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.” (Matthew 13:3-9)

Conservapedia tips

Improving the web traffic and impact of key Conservapedia articles

Because people judge a book by its cover, the lede of an article and its general first appearance are very important. By general first appearance, I mean the first 1-3 seconds a web visitor is on the particilar page. If the lede and general first appearance of a Conservapedia article is not good, its general traffic will suffer, time spent on the page will suffer, its search engine ranking for various terms terms will suffer and its shares on social media will suffer. In short, a bad first impression will cause people to quickly click of the page and not read the article plus other user engagement stats and other web marketing stats will suffer. Bottom line: Few people will read the article and it will have little to no impact on society.

Also, beauty/esthetics matter when it comes to web articles and other matters in life. And that is why smart urban planners and architects design beautiful cities/buildings that elevate a city and bring in tourists. Its also why guys get haircuts and women shave their legs if they want to gets dates and better keep their spouses/girlfriends/boyfriends.

Key examples:

1. With the above in mind, take a look at present day version of this article: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Compare that with the March 10, 2019 version of the article which is HERE.

2. Next, in terms of a first impressions (namely the first 1-3 seconds), take a look at the Joe Biden article. Now compare it with the December 28, 2021 version of the Joe Biden article which is HERE and the May 26, 2021 version of the article which is HERE.

3. Next, in terms of first impressions (namely the first 1-3 seconds), take a look at Conservapedia's Volodymyr Zelensky article. Now look at Wikipedia's Volodymyr Zelensky article HERE. Which article has a better first impression (the first 1-3 seconds of seeing an article)? By the way, I am no fan of Volodymyr Zelensky and think he is a corrupt, authoritarian and foolish leader.

4. Next, look at Conservapedia's Ukraine article. Next, look at the August 25, 2023 version of Conservapedia's Ukraine article HERE. Which version of the article gives a better general first impression (First 1-3 seconds of looking at the article)?

As you are aware, I am no fan of Richard Dawkins. Despite this, I designed an attractive lede and general first impression of the article and as a result, its page view count was over 1,500,000 page views (the view counter got reset) and the article had an impact. For example, Ms. Magazine cited the article before Richard Dawkins' very public conflicts with feminists that lead to his downfall in popularity and caused a big schism in the atheist movement which in turn caused the Decline of the atheist movement. During the time of the atheist movement in terms of its peak, the Conservapedia Richard Dawkins article ranked in the Google top 10 for the term "Richard Dawkins".

Next time we talk, I will briefly talk to you about how to create a good first general impression for an article and how to get it ranked higher at the search engines. Conservative (talk) 17:19, November 18, 2023 (EST)
