Title IX is a federal law used by feminists to advance their agenda in the realm of education. More recently it is invoked to advance the transgender agenda.

Representative Edith Green was the chief sponsor of Title IX, and in no way did she sponsor Title IX to achieve goals of the supporters of ERA. Congress passed many exceptions to the broad mandate of Title IX, while ERA allowed no exceptions.

Indiana Democratic U.S. Senator Birch Bayh, and outspoken supporter of ERA, tried to make Title IX something that it was not.
