After all is said and done, in 2023 the citizens of Russia make up about 2% of the world's population.[1]

The Russian demographer Salavat Abylkalikov says the main consequences of Russia's demographic crisis will be the following: "According to the average version of the UN forecast, Russia's population by 2050 may be about 133.4 million people, which is 14th in the world and below countries such as Egypt, the Philippines, and Mexico. But if Russia goes not according to the average, but according to the low option that is quite likely at the present time, then with a population of 123.2 million people we will drop to 16th place and will already be neighbors with Tanzania and Vietnam."[2]

I have written about a lot of topics. And I am not going to endlessly keep rehashing the same topics with you about Russia - a country in decline that is projected to likely have the population size ranking of Tanzania and Vietnam by 2050 according to a Russian demographer.

President Trump decried immigration from "sh*ithole countries". It's sad that a country that a country that created the State Hermitage Museum within the Winter Palace is literally transforming itself into a "sh*thole country" with its sewage system crisis and other symptoms of decline. Hopefully, Russia will get off the proverbial mat and become an excellent country. Pulling out of a war of attrition in Ukraine where it's committing war crimes and that is making its country's demographic worse, would be a common sense step in the right direction - especially since the February invasion of Ukraine in 2022 violated Just War Theory.

Of course, if you want to spend a ton of hours thinking about Russia that is your choice. It's a free country. But having the expectation that non-Russian citizens will do so is unrealistic. With that being said, as a Christian, I would prefer to focus more on Christian topics such as the Great Commission. So consider going to Twitter or online political forums if you want to talk to others about Russia a lot.

"Finally, beloved whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." - Philippians 4:8 (NRSV).
