Koch brothers
From Phyllis Schlafly Eagles
Salon links the Koch brothers, Charles and David, to the Con Con effort:
- "This past January, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, the multimillionaire protégé of the Koch brothers’ plutocratic kingdom and American Legislative Exchange Council darling, revealed to a startled nation that he has penned not one but nine new amendments to the Constitution of the United States."[1]
Cato's endorsement of a Con Con, through a sneaky proposed Rules change in the House of Representative, was a strong indication that the Koch brothers are behind it.[2] The Koch brothers are a major donor to Cato and handpicked its president, after forcing the prior, longtime president out of the organization.
Entities funded and under the influence of the Koch brothers include:
- the Koch Industries' KochPAC.
- Aegis Strategic PAC. "Aegis Strategic is a Koch-funded political consulting firm ... owned and run by Jeff Crank, a Koch operative who previously served as state director for the Colorado arm of David Koch's 'Americans for Prosperity' operation.[3]
Other recipient of Koch brothers money include:
- 60 Plus Association.
- Americans for Prosperity
- Concerned Women for American
- Concerned Veterans for America
- Freedom Partners Action Fund
